Baldwin Plains Road

Kestrel supplied carbon fibre laminates, carbon fibre anchors and carbon fibre fabric for structural strengthening works on the Baldwin Plains Road bridge. The laminates increase flexural capacity, the fabric provides shear strengthening and confinement, and the anchors secure both systems to the substrate, preventing premature debonding under load.

For this project, Kestrel supplied a custom biaxial fabric — reflecting Kestrel's ability to custom-make products to suit the design needs of each project, rather than the design team having to work within a select few off-the-shelf options available in the market.
