Carrols Bridge

Kestrel supplied carbon fibre laminates, carbon fibre anchors and carbon fibre fabric for structural strengthening works at Carrols Bridge. The laminates increase flexural capacity, the fabric provides shear strengthening and confinement, and the anchors secure both systems to the substrate, preventing premature debonding under load.

For this project, Kestrel manufactured custom 5 mm thick laminates, reducing installation to a single laminate per location rather than the multiple laminates typically required with standard market products. This reflects Kestrel's ability to customise products to the design — giving the design team a product matched to their requirements, rather than requiring them to work within a select few off-the-shelf options available in the market.
